Raising a dog in Toronto comes with its own unique set of challenges, especially if you are living in a condo, apartment, or other small space. Where can I exercise my dog in the city? How do I potty train my dog when I live on the 30th floor? And, how do I get my dog to behave in the lobby and elevator of my building? are questions that I am often asked. The good news is that training a downtown dog is easier than you may think, and our urban canine friends can enjoy all the freedoms and advantages of their country cousins! All it takes is a little creativity, some patience and lots of positive reinforcement.
